Dear First Grade Families,
My name is Kristen Wheelis and I have taught at Mt. Clemens Montessori Academy for 24 years. I taught in a multi-age room for 6 years and I have taught first grade for the last 18 years. I received my teaching degree (B.S.) from Oakland University and I have a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from Saginaw Valley State University.
When I am not in the classroom, I love to spend time with my family. I have been married for 27 years and I have a 22 year old son named Nicholas and a dog named Emma. My hobbies are reading, bike riding, playing Words with Friends, and going to Detroit Tiger games.
